Last month, for an entire week Binus School Simprug had Project week. Basically, it is a week that is dedicated to local and international trips, most of the members from t2k went to Bali,Thailand and several went to the Japan Osaka Trip. The remaining students that stayed at school did an at school project, the school project is a collaboration between Healthy Kids and Teens2kids that was done from 16th March-20th March 2009. The main goal of this activity was on the 20th which was the "Fun Learning" with the local children that was invited to our school for both learning and enjoying the day. There were other activities such as exposure from the Wahana Visi Indonesia and visit to the WWF foundation.
The students that stayed at school learned many learning outcomes that made the experience of all these activities worth it.
P.s: Be Updated about project week with more detail=]

Note from Student Assistant Member
We are coming up to the end of the semester, and to all teens2kids members, we should begin collecting our evidences in a portfolio whether it is only for T2K or other activities. Remember that our evidences is based upon our 8 learning outcomes and i would like to emphasize that we should put these learning outcomes in various kinds of forms, whether in our reflections, blogs and posts.
Just in case, i am putting the eight learning outcomes here so that we can benefit a lot from it through this blog spot.
1. increased my awarenesss of my own strength and areas for growth
2. undertaken new challenges
3. planned and initiated activities
4. worked collaboratively with others
5. shown perseverance and commitment in my activities
6. engaged with issues of global importance
7. considered the ethical implications of my actions
8. develop new skills
An example of a good reflection that outlines the learning outcomes is shown in this paragraph:
"This week, i have realized that i have gained several new learning outcomes. Firstly, I gained new skills by being able to taught local school children with patience and endurance because of the several things that now i must behave in order to cope with the local children. Because they grew up in a different culture than the children in my community i have to consider my ethical implications towards them and their parents by behaving appropriately and use Bahasa Indonesia language in a formal manner so that the parents are not concerned about their children being taught by me. I also iimproved my skill in the Bahasa Language because before i joined t2k I was not able to speak Bahasa Indonesia in formal language however now i have gained a new skill. During t2k hours i have worked collaboratively with other members. As the leader for equipmentts, i worked with all the boys to built the tent, as well as putting on the layer of cloth to make our teachings much easier for the children. We worked as a team to built this tent and shown the collaboration with each other. This sums up, my week in t2k and i hope next week i can enrich my self with another appreciation to the subject of CAS in IB."
This is a sample from my reflection, simply follow the format and we can easily create our own evidences in various types of forms!I would just like to emphasize strongly not to write a summary of your week but instead write what learning outcomes you have achieved!
Good Luck t2k members!
